Terms and Conditions of sale

  • Each lot has an entry fee of £1.00 per entry + VAT at 20%.
  • Commission is charged at 20% + VAT at 20% on the final hammer price. 
  • For example, if an item sells for £100.00, the commission will be £20.00, and the VAT would be £4.00. so the total commission payable is £24.00, so the final payout for the sale of the item would be £74.80 to the seller.
  • Items presented or collected for sale will be entered into the 1st available sale. We will advise the date of the sale to the seller.
  • A drop off appointment will be made with you to visit the auction house to ensure an efficient service is provided.
  • All description, starting prices or estimates are at the the Auctioneers discretion.
  • Payments will be released more than 15 days after the sale date, subject to items being paid for.
  • payments will be made electronically.
  • Counterfeit items will not be accepted.
  • Each seller will supply their name, address and contact information on the entry form.
  • Storage charges of up to £10.00 per day + VAT will be applied to any unsold items not collected within 5 working days.
  • Any unsold items that have not been collected after 10 working days, Grove Street Auctions will charge the storage fees plus an extra £10.00 per item disposal fee and become the property owner.
